about

In the spirit of classic Kingston protest songs, Church & State doesn’t pull any punches.

On the first listen you’ll hear the fearlessness of McAnuff’s vocals, but when you give it another listen, you’ll realize that it’s backed up with a passionate, dramatic violin that could have come straight out of a gypsy caravan and a simple touch of Django Reinhardt’s Minor Swing played by the young Monty Lamont Savory.

It’s another song proving that Reggae can go anywhere.
